I know what you mean about the "melting" texture, and I think it's why I actually prefer the Gloss Embrace formula to the Baume Embrace. I find the Gloss Embrace has a longer-lasting moisturizing capacity. It passes what I call the Nice Cup of Tea test--it's still there after a nice cup of tea! That said, I bought the Baume Embrace in Sweet Fig and Red Curve (a gorgeous red for me, but I like orange reds) and love the portable packaging, the scent, and the carefully-designed tones. I did think of you when I opened Sweet Fig! So excited to see you try the Emily shadow, because I've been curious about it. Anais is my current fave, but I've struggled with the pigment level of the only other Liquid Lurex I have, Anjelica. Paleness has its own set of challenges for sure. I love Eldridge's new Seamless Tint, and I hope the pale olive comes back in stock for you soon (T5 I think?). I'm a T2, and it is exactly the color of my skin, uncanny. Congratulations on a successful move!

Your current mascara preference sounds very similar to mine! I’m really enjoying Boots No7 Define and Enhance, I don’t wear very much makeup and it’s perfect for giving me wispy, lengthened and darkened lashes that don’t overwhelm my face! a good drugstore option if it’s available to you.

Is clear mascara the new thing?

I’m curious, are you going to test out the new/old glossier balm now that they’ve reintroduced the old formula? Love the video, and congratulations on the move.

If it is "Hydrating" actually makes more sense for it to penetrate the skin barrier and actually help your lips. If it stays on top it really isn't doing much so it's just an occlusive like Vaseline. It doesn't hydrate as much as it leaves a film on top. I have sensory issues so i love things that melt in because otherwise i feel like I am covered on goop. It's very fun that people have such different priorities, like with the mascara.

Hi Hanna, my experience with the Balms from Lisa is: they are melting but the color and shines fades away but the protective layer stays and feel my lips protected. BTW I also did not like her foundation but the skin tint.... I can not stop wearing it!!!

I did not enjoy the Baume Embrace Melting Lip Colour. I had the shade Epanoui and it looked nothing like the pinky colour in the promo photos, it was more of a nude. I could forgive that if it also didn't have this distracting bitter aftertaste and crayon smell. All my love to Lisa but for the price it just did not cut the mustard.

I so know that feeling of realising that being together in the hard times is better than being alone in them. Obvs your situation is different as this is such a public platform but when my dad died the main thing that i took away from it was "the only thing that makes this survivable is that others have been there too" and they can carry you ❤

I also find Lisa eldridge runs orange, but I need colours to run completely purple to look normal on me! The colours quite often lack a bit of depth I find - they are perhaps a bit too saturated generally.

Putting on 015, it just sort of erased my underlying redness but still looked like my skin. I just tried it today and it's the first time I've ever found a foundation that matched me, and there's still one shade lighter to go, you know?

I was so hoping to get to watch one of your videos this morning…you make me so calm🥰 and I also really wanted to know your opinion on these newness from Lisa😍

Interesting that you put in words what I feel but couldn’t pinpoint when it comes to one and done reflective eyeshadows. I often try the look but it washes out with the rest of my skin. Now I guess know what to look forward.

Glad to see another balm in your ongoing quest! Both of those colors look good on you and honesty the darker shade absolutely would be perfect for you on one of your no makeup days!!!! Even if it is obviously makeup, it doesnt matter. Who cares?! Lipsticks, gloss, any color that isnt garish, can be the end all be all for what it does to bring life and intrigue to a look. Nothing fancy required. I feel like a woman who only has lips done, is a WOMMMAAAAN WITH CONFIDENCE AND STYLE.

Congrats on the move!! And so glad there is a shred of light peaking through to remind you that the world is not all bad and we certainly are not alone.
